After a rather long delay

I am back on track. Changing domains nearly defeated me …but not quite. Thank you to my husband for finding . Let the blog continue.
So, I am now back in the bedroom ( for ever more to be called studio) and enjoying not having the pressure to paint for my annual Open Studio ( sic house) for Purbeck Art Weeks. This is my year off. And, guess what, painting is fun again.

I really enjoyed painting this. It is large( a relatively new painting experience for me ) colourful and full of mark making – all plus points for me. So I now feel a series coming on…

Lots to learn

Today was the day to get to grips with designing this website – and so far I am both still sane and quite pleased. My New Year 2016 resolution was to get a blog going – just a diary really of what I am doing in the artistic part of my life- so this then developed into needing some new web pages . So here we are and maybe, seeing as I am here, I will just log what I am working on in the studio at the moment. In fact I am back to hedgerows – fueled by having had enough of winter and thinking about the visual treat of things to come this Spring and Summer . Working in the studio , rather than out and about , does mean I am more adventurous with the colour and design. It is about 50 cm square and has got a way to go – but so far so good I think.

Annual Pastel Society Annual Exhibition 2015

My painting was entitled Yorkshire View

Purbeck Art Weeks 2015

Really good to be part of this vibrant fortnight of arts . I had Open Studio with Emma Louise Grinsted . Several hundred people came though the doors to see our work.
